Many people don’t realise the work we do isn’t just client facing. Learning and researching is a big part of being a successful bookkeeping practice. Being part of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers is a great community to belong to, they provide learning, help, support, guidance and empower us to be committed to professional excellence, have robust ethical and technical standards. They run events throughout the year to support us in doing this.

Today and tomorrow, we are attending The Bookkeepers Summit, organised by The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. 

What do we do at The Bookkeepers Summit?

This year, the annual Bookkeepers Summit is held virtually with two days of TED-style talks, live panel discussions, speed networking, social gatherings, competitions and technology exhibitors. They cover all areas of bookkeeping, payroll and tax returns and have speakers from Companies House, HMRC, software providers and members of the community.

Legislation and technology are always changing which means we are always learning, always exploring strategies, values and technology resulting in the best possible service our clients could need.
